Examinations at the Chair of Technology and Innovation Management

Different types of examinations

Written examination

  • The duration of a written module examination can be 90 to 240 minutes and can include a multiple choice questions.
  • Enrollment at the Prüfungsamt / QISPOS is mandatory. Registration is closed one week before the examination.
  • Withdrawal from the examination has to be in written form both to the examinar and to the examination office, the latest one day before the examination date.
  • The equivalency of point to grades is shown in the table below.
  • The repetition of a portfolio examination is only possible if the student achieved a "not sufficient" (5,0).

Oral examination

  • The duration of a written module examination can be 20 to 60 minutes.
  • Enrollment at the Prüfungsamt / QISPOS is mandatory. Registration is closed three days before the examination.
  • Withdrawal from the examination has to be in written form both to the examinar and to the examination office, the latest one day before the examination date.
  • The examinatio will be conducted by an examiner and an observer from the faculty. The achieved grade will be communicated immediately after the examination.

Portfolio exam

  • A portfolio exam consists of various test elements. 
  • Enrollment at the Prüfungsamt / QISPOS is mandatory before the submission of the first test element, the latest till 31st of May for the summer term and the 30th of November for the winter term.
  • To withdraw/unenroll from a portfolio examination, a written confirmation of the Chair that no examinations/tests have been taken by the student is necessary.
  • Grading for modules with portfolio examinatios is calculated in point (max. 100 points). Detailed information about the points awarded to each test elements is to be found int he module description of each module
  • The equivalency of point to grades is shown in the table below.
  • The repetition of a portfolio examination is only possible if the student achieved less than 50 points overall.
